# Connect Calendly

> Connect your Calendly so your agent can check real availability and book the meeting during the call.

If your team already publishes availability in Calendly, connecting it lets your agent book right there, instead of sending a link and hoping the person opens it. It checks the real times for the right event type and leaves the booking done before hanging up.

It is the fastest way to have your agent book while respecting the rules you already set in Calendly: duration, minimum notice and working hours.

## What you need first

* A **Calendly** account with at least one published **event type**. With no event types there is nothing to book.
* The **Starter** plan or higher in Ryvo, with the Engine module active.
* Some Calendly booking capabilities depend on your plan with them. If your account is free, check that your event type allows bookings through the API.

## How to connect it

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings › Integrations">
    In the portal, go to **Settings** and then **Integrations**. Find the **Calendly** card.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Connect app">
    Calendly's authorization screen opens in a new window. Meanwhile the card shows **In progress**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize">
    Accept the permissions with the account whose event types you want to use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Come back to Ryvo">
    You land back on the Integrations screen on your own and the card turns to **Connected**. Calendly asks nothing else.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What your agent can do once it is connected

| Action | What it does in the conversation |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **View event types** | Lists the available event types. It is the first thing it does, to know what can be booked. |
| **Find free slots** | Checks the available times for an event type. Your agent never offers a time it has not seen here. |
| **Book appointment** | Books the time the person confirmed, with their name and email. |
| **View booked events** | Checks existing bookings, to confirm when the person's meeting is. |

Actions are turned on one by one from **View actions** and the [**Tools**](/guides/agents/tools) section of the builder, with a cap of **10 integration actions per agent**.

## What to do if something fails

| ----------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The card is stuck on **In progress** | You closed the Calendly window before finishing | Click **Check again** and, if nothing changes, click **Connect app** again |
| The agent always says there is no availability | The event type has no published availability, or Calendly's minimum notice hides the nearby days | Check the event type in Calendly: working hours, minimum notice and date range |
| **The account stopped responding. Connect it again.** | You revoked access from Calendly | Click **Reconnect**: Ryvo revokes the old access and opens the authorization from scratch |
